Extra-Curricular - Student Council Advisor (Oakridge Elementary School)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Leadership experience advising and supervising students to carry out the program in the best interests of the students and the school system.
- Adhere to policies of the Board of Directors and builing standard practices and guidelines while advising and supervising student council members in the planning, organization, and implementation of student council activities.
Essential Requirements:
- Possess experience working in a variety of settings with elementary level students.
- Possess knowlege of, and familiartiy with, various middle level activiites and extracurricular functions.
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Make recommendations to the principal or designee in scheduling assemblies and other such school-wide activities and to assure that such activities are placed on the activiites calendar in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for delegating specified duties under his/her jurisdication.
- Supervise, advise, and assume responsibility for student council students in planning, set-up, implementation and cleanup of such possible projects as assemblies, canned food drives, club and class meetings, and student body elections, etc.
- Establish positive relationships among student council officers, class officers, and all students associated with school activities.
